With personalized music in each seat, an onboard video capture system, and an impressive lighting system, this coaster delivers entertainment from start to finish.
Six Flags New England, MA
What do you get for a man who has everything? The world has agreed that Superman: Ride of Steel was the best roller coaster on the planet, so how could you make it any better? To answer that question Six Flags New England called SSI. In response to the challenge SSI worked closely with Intamin, the coaster manufacturer, and Six Flags to design a sound system that pushes the world’s best coaster in the realm of Bizarro and to a new level of excitement.
Six Flags Magic Mountain, CA
Roller coaster enthusiasts are relentless in the search for something bigger, badder, and never before seen. Great Coasters International stepped up to provide a big, bad wooden roller coaster for Six Flags Magic Mountain, and SSI stepped up add something that had never been seen before. This meeting of the minds produced the world’s first wooden roller coaster with on board audio, Terminator Salvation – The Ride.
Six Flags Magic Mountain, CA
What a coaster! X2 is a ferocious roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California. SSI chosen as the Onboard Audio expert to design, fabricate and install the X2 Onboard Audio System. This ride showcases a true un-tethered Onboard Audio System; that means each vehicle is completely self sufficient for power, audio and control once it departs from the load station.
Six Flags Great Adventure, NJ
The Medusa roller coaster at Six Flags Great Adventure goes down in history as the world’s first floorless coaster. Since its construction there have been many incredible coasters from Bolliger and Mabillard using this proven formula. Six Flags decided that the coaster that started it all needed some more attention so SSI was brought in to improve upon an already classic ride. Installing a world renowned sound system from SSI gave riders an even more exciting experience and reminded them that BIZARRO is still one of the world’s most exciting coasters.
Italian Job Stunt Track
On board audio on roller coasters is still a very new technology. On the Italian Job Stunt Track coaster (now Backlot Stunt Coaster) Paramount Parks found that additional expertise was needed to make their audio system shine. The background and reputation that President Jeff Bobbin had in the industry made SSI the obvious choice to take on the case. SSI’s role quickly changed from that of consulting to full design, fabrication and integration on three Italian Job Stunt Coasters for Paramount Parks, each one an improvement upon the first.
Ride The Ducks
Ride The Ducks is the nation's largest amphibious tour operator and amphibious vehicle manufacturer and SSI has incorporated an On-board audio system into a “duck”. The audio system provides an LCD touchpanel to trigger sound effects and music tracks and it also includes a wireless headset microphone so the captain can address the guests. Lastly, ound effects and annoucements are amplified through surface mount speakers that are distributed throughout the vehicle to provide clean and clear audio to the tour group. Ride the ducks is an example of SSI’s ability to provide a solution in a custom atmosphere.
